Centerstone SSVF (Supportive Services for Veterans)

Centerstone SSVF assists low-income veterans who are either homeless or at risk of eviction by providing case management, financial counseling, legal assistance, and financial assistance on a case by case basis. We aim to ensure that eligible veterans in Rutherford County are aware of assistance available to them through the Rutherford County COVID-19 Rental Relief Program. Services are currently primarily delivered via phone, email, and zoom. During face to face contacts, SSVF staff are required to wear a mask, meet outside, and keep a 6 foot distance.

Community Helpers of Rutherford County

Community Helpers Of Rutherford County (CHORC) will provide RC Rent Relief Program information via social media, refer RC residents to sites for online applications, and provide portal application assistance (scan, download documents) upon request and staff availability. CHORC provides emergency financial rent/utility/medical assistance to RC residents experiencing unexpected loss of income or expenses to low-income (200% Federal Poverty Guidelines) residents of Rutherford County. CONNECT Ministry

The CONNECT Ministry is a community outreach program of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 116 North Academy St.that meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month. CONNECT helps St. Paul's Murfreesboro/Rutherford County community members who are experiencing financial difficulty. The program's purpose is to provide a helping hand and a connection to other community resources.


Volunteers from the ministry will be able to assist potential clients on March 15th from 9 am. to 11 am in the Parish Hall on the St. Paul's Campus (there are signs). We can assess whether they qualify and assist with the next step. Letting them know what documents they need and where to go to import the information. Masks are required at the door.

Dominion Financial Management, Inc. helps people of all ages learn to manage their money according to Biblical principles. We provide financial coaching and education to help clients accomplish their financial goals including obtaining affordable rental housing and homeownership. We are willing to provide a link to information from our website, flyers/applications for download and sessions by phone or ZOOM to help refer clients to the assistance that is available to help them maintain their rental housing. Our goal is to provide financial coaching to support and increase the impact of the financial assistance provided. There is no charge for this service and we do not have an income restriction for those we are able to serve throughout Rutherford County.

First Baptist Church E Main St.

We will provide some assistance with applying for the Rutherford County Rental/Utility Assistance Program on Wednesdays from 10:30-12. We will have technology to access the applications, assistance of a volunteer to walk through the process, and the ability to scan needed documents.


We admit one household at a time into the airlock of the church. Masks are required and available.

Domestic Violence Program, Inc DBA Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center

The Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center will be happy to raise awareness of the Rutherford County COVID-19 Rental Relief Program. We feel this will help many people in our community with rent and utility assistance. We plan to distribute flyers regarding this program to all of our clients and communicate to area agencies that provide similar services. This is a much needed new resource for our community.

Hope Station will be happy to help get these funds in the community. We can assist with walking them through the process of applying for funds. Housing, Health and Human Services Alliance of Rutherford County

H3ARC brings together over 60 nonprofits, government agencies, educational institutions, faith-based organizations and individuals serving those experiencing a housing crisis or housing vulnerable in Rutherford County. As the lead agency for our Continuum of Care, we coordinate efforts between organizations, provide HMIS access, and offer ongoing training and support.

La Vergne Public Library

The La Vergne Public Library will be available for scanning documents from the Self-Copier printer / scanner to the participants USB. Our patron computers will be available for participants to apply online and/or upload documents. Computer guest passes will be available for non-library users with a photo ID. The library patron computers can be used during normal operating hours but shut down 15 minutes before closing. Due to social distancing procedures implemented in the library, there are a limited number of computers available. Masks are required by the City of La Vergne until further notice.


The La Vergne Public Library is an independent library located at 5063 Murfreesboro Road in La Vergne, Tennessee.

The Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands (“LAS”) is a non-profit organization with 8 offices throughout middle Tennessee serving 48 counties. LAS’s mission is to advance, defend, and enforce the legal rights of low-income and vulnerable people in order to secure for them the basic necessities of life. : Life of Victory International Christian Ministries

Life of Victory is a HUD Housing Counseling Agency with certified housing counselors whom will assist with the application process and understanding the necessary program eligibility. Life of Victory provides Resources, Foreclosure Prevention, Rental, Fair Housing, Financial, Homeless, Credit Counseling, and certified to provide Pre/Post Purchase Homebuyer Education Courses. Prevention Coalition for Success

Prevention Coalition for Success will raise awareness about the Rutherford County COVID-19 Rental Relief program. This is a great opportunity during difficult times for assistance with rent and utilities for the residents of Rutherford County. Prevention Coalition for Success will announce this opportunity at our monthly meetings including the community coalition meetings, We CARE Opioid Crisis Alliance meetings, and Rutherford County Safe Baby Court community stakeholder meetings. We will distribute the flyer via email, add information about the program including the application link on the PC4S.org and WeCARERutherford.org websites, and utilize our social media networks to share information about this important program.

Rutherford County Democratic Party

Trained volunteers will be available for anyone needing assistance to navigate the rent and utility assistance program. We will provide assistance during the application or appeal process including answering questions and providing access to technology to apply online or to upload documents. You must call or email to schedule an in-person appointment, and you may call or email anytime with questions. Calls and emails will be replied to as soon as possible, but within 24 hours. In-person assistance is by appointment only due to COVID safety measures.Our office remains closed, however, our volunteers will have the ability to reserve a time at the office or meet at the library, if warranted, to provide assistance with technology.

Rutherford County Library System

The Rutherford County Library System will be available for anyone to use their computers to apply online or upload documents. The computers are available during normal operating hours but shut down 1/2 hour before closing. They do have a reservation system but most of the time, people can walk in and reserve a computer on the spot. They are down a few computers at some of our locations in order to socially distanced and patrons have to get a disinfected keyboard and mouse from staff and return it when leaving as a COVID safety measure.

Town of Smyrna

The Town of Smyrna is pleased to support the marketing efforts of the Rutherford County COVID-19 Rental Relief Program, working to make sure our residents are aware of this opportunity. We are sharing the program overview, website, and call center information with all of our utility customers via the March billing cycle. Additionally, we will share information on the Town's social media platforms and website, provide talking points to our personnel answering the phones, and provide internal communication to our personnel.
